Antonio Bauen (born April 6, 1958 ; resident in Rüschegg ) is a Swiss politician ( Greens ).

Life

Antonio Bauen trained as a mechanical engineer at the Biel Engineering School . Later he took a supplementary course in construction and energy at the engineering school in Bern . Bauen is the owner and managing director of Consaba GmbH Bern, which offers advice and litigation in the areas of energy, the environment and sustainable development. Antonio Bauen is married and has two daughters. He lives in Münsingen .

Bauen founded the Green Free List Münsingen in 1994, which he then presided over until 2005. From 2002 to 2009 he was a member of the municipal council (executive) of Münsingen and was in charge of the environment and waste disposal department. In 2010 he was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern , where he belonged to changing commissions in the first legislature. After his re-election in 2014, he was a member of the Interparliamentary Conference Northwestern Switzerland committee of the Commission for State Policy and External Relations until 2018 . In 2018 Antonio Bauen was re-elected to the Grand Council. He has been a member of the Justice Commission since 2016.

Bauen was a board member of the Green Canton of Bern from 1999 to 2015 and vice-president of the Aaretal planning region from 2005 to 2010 . He is co-president of Grünen Mittelland-Süd and board member of WWF Bern.
