Antonio Esposito (born December 13, 1972 in Viganello , Ticino ) is a former Swiss - Italian football player .

Esposito played soccer at FC Bioggio and with the AC Lugano juniors . He started as a professional player at AC Lugano in 1992. The right-footer played mainly in the central, offensive midfield.

With the Grasshoppers he became Swiss champion in 1998 . From 2002 to 2004 he ended his professional career at FC Basel .

He let his career come to an end with third division clubs such as Varese in northern Italy and with FC Mendrisio in Ticino and in 2005 with his parent club, which was newly founded as AC Lugano . Antonio Esposito also played three international matches for the Swiss national football team .
