Antonio Langella (born March 30, 1977 in Naples ) is a former Italian football player .

Career

society

Antonio Langella began his career in the youth of Sorso Calcio . In 1994 he moved to the lower class amateur club Castelsardo Calcio, for which he ran for five years. In the summer of 1999 the attacker transferred to ASD Torres Calcio , with whom he made promotion to Serie C1 in his first season . In the following two years he helped the club to stay in the C1 series. Then he was acquired by the Serie B club Cagliari Calcio . After he reached a placement with the upper midfield of the table with the Sardinians in the 2002/03 season, he was promoted to Serie A with the team in the following season . In the 2004/05 season he scored six goals in 32 games for Cagliari and placed himself with the team in 12th place. In the following two years, Langella was able to hold onto Serie A with the Sardinians, but only marked 40 games two hits. For the 2007/08 season he moved to Atalanta Bergamo , where he played 27 games and scored eight goals.

In summer 2008 he transferred to Udinese Calcio. He signed a four-year contract in Udine, but was awarded to AC Chievo Verona shortly afterwards until the end of the season. The Veronese were also given a purchase option. Langella was never able to build on his performance at Cagliari in Verona and then returned to Udinese. On June 27, 2009, Serie A promoted AS Bari announced the attacker's commitment. In Bari, however, Langella could not prevail and only came to nine missions before he terminated his contract in autumn 2011.

National team

Antonio Langella made his debut on February 9, 2005 in the match against Russia for the Italian national football team . He was also used on March 30, 2005 in the game against Iceland and on June 11, 2005 against Ecuador. In all three games he remained without a goal and received no further bids for the national team.
