Antonio Palafox
Antonio "Tony" Palafox (born April 28, 1936 in Guadalajara ) is a retired Mexican tennis player .
Palafox won the doubles competitions at the US Open in 1962 and at Wimbledon in 1963 together with his compatriot Rafael Osuna . In 1961 and again in 1963 he was with Osuna in the final of the US Open. In 1960 he also stood in the mixed final, which he lost with Maria Bueno against Margaret Osborne duPont and Neale Fraser .
In 1962 he was part of the Mexican Davis Cup team , which was able to advance to the final against Australia. There the team lost 0: 5, Palafox was used in two singles and in doubles with Rafael Osuna. He completed a total of 21 games for Mexico, in which he won half of his 26 singles games, as well as 13 of his 18 doubles games.
