Anuschawan Danieljan ( Armenian Անուշավան Դանիելյան ; born August 1, 1956 in Bolnis-Chatschen , Georgian SSR , Soviet Union ) is an Armenian politician from the internationally unrecognized Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh . He was Prime Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh from June 30, 1999 to September 12, 2007 .

Danieljan served in the Red Army from 1975 to 1977 . After his release from military service, he became involved in the organs of the Komsomol and the Communist Party in Tiflisser Erzbergbau- and -verarbeitungsbetrieb Madneuli . In 1985 he finished his studies at Simferopol University . From 1983 he worked - initially alongside his studies - in the regional Komsomol department of Crimea . From 1987 to 1990 Danieljan was deputy head of the commercial school of the Soviet Atomic Energy Ministry in Simferopol. From 1990 he was a member of the regional parliament of Crimea and was later elected deputy speaker of parliament. In addition, from 1989 to 1996 he was chairman and since then honorary chairman of the Armenian Society of the Crimean Peninsula. In 1994 he was elected President of the International Congress of Armenians. At the end of the 1990s Danieljan went to Armenia , where he initially ran a cable factory in Yerevan . On July 1, 1999, he was appointed Prime Minister by the then President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Arkadi Ghukassyan . He held this post until 2007, when he was replaced by Arajik Harutjunjan .
