Shirajr Poghosjan

Shirajr Tevanowitsch Poghosjan ( Armenian Ժիրայր Թևանի Պողոսյան , Russian Погосян, Жирайр Теванович ; * January 15, 1942 in Martuni , Nagorno-Karabakh ) is an Armenian politician.

He studied in Stepanakert and attended the Polytechnic Institute in Yerevan from 1960 to 1965 . After receiving his doctorate, he worked as a technician, engineer, senior engineer and designer at the Scientific Research Institute until 1969. From 1969 to 1971 he was the lead designer at the Scientific Research Institute for Microelectronics. In 1971 he moved to the Electrical Engineering Institute, where he remained until 1990, and then successively became group leader, vice head of department, head of department, vice director for research projects and senior scientific researcher.

In June 1998 he replaced Leonard Petrosyan as Prime Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh and remained so until June 24, 1999. He was replaced by Anuschawan Danieljan .
