Arajik Harutjunjan ( Armenian Արայիկ Հարությունյան ; born December 14, 1973 in Stepanakert , Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region , Azerbaijani SSR , Soviet Union ) is an Armenian politician and currently Prime Minister of the internationally unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic . Arajik Harutjunjan is considered to be the wealthiest man in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

Arajik Harutjunjan finished his education in 1990 at a school specializing in physics and mathematics in Stepanakert. Then he went to study at the Institute for National Economy in Yerevan . At times he had to interrupt his studies in order to serve in the army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and thus took part in combat operations in the military conflict with Azerbaijan . In 1994 Harutjunjan moved to the Faculty of Economics at the State University of Artsakh in Stepanakert. In 1995 he finished his regular studies and started working in the Ministry of Finance and Economy in Nagorno Karabakh. At the same time, he completed postgraduate studies, which he completed in 1998. From 1997 he worked for Hajagrobank until he was elected to the National Assembly of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in 2005 . At the same time he took over party and parliamentary chairmanship of the Asat Hajrenik party . In 2007 he replaced Anuschawan Danieljan in the office of Prime Minister.

Harutjunjan is married and has two children.
