Apoș ( German Abtsdorf bei Agnetheln , Hungarian Szászapátfalva , literally "Saxon Abtsdorf") is a village in Transylvania ( Romania ). About 250 people live in the village.

Abtsdorf used to be a Hörigendorf . The village is located in a side valley of the Harbach , five kilometers northeast of Bürgisch and was founded in Transylvania in front of the Cistercian monastery of Kerz on the occasion of the German colonization of the east , which lasted from the 11th to the 13th century . This settlement took place on the orders of the Hungarian kings, who intended to populate the previously largely deserted area and protect it against intruders from the east. It is first mentioned in a document from 1322.

As in many villages in Romania, the houses are built along a few, clearly visible streets.

Today Abtsdorf is administratively part of Bürgisch.
