The Harbach ( Romanian Hârtibaciu ; Hungarian Hortobágy folyó´ ) is a river in Transylvania ( Romania ). It rises in the Transylvanian highlands near Bekokten (Rum. Bărcuț , Hungarian Báránykút , literally "lamb fountain") and flows into the Cibin after 88.2 km .

The first Theutonici (Germans) settled in the area around the Harbach under King Géza II (1142–1162) . The Harbachtal is characterized by the many fortified churches located there .
