Apollo 3 is a German band made up of the three members Henry Horn , Marvin Schlatter and Dario Flick .

Band history

2006–2009: Foundation and start of career

The band members come from Cologne and played together at the age of nine. They went to the same class from the third grade. Her class teacher noticed her when she was ten and made contact with the songwriter and music producer Niko Floss. Their debut album Apollo 3 (of the same name as the band) was released on May 8, 2009 by the major label Sony Music Entertainment and includes a. the song Superheroes , which was used as the theme song for the film Suburban Crocodiles . At the time of publication, the band members were 11 (Henry) and 12 (Marvin and Dario) years old. A music video was released for the single Superhelden , which is set in a cinema. There are also excerpts from the film Suburban Crocodiles . The single reached number 35 in the German charts and the album number 33.

On June 19, 2009, the second single from the album, Starting Shot, was released, which reached position 84 in the German charts.

2010: Second album 2010 and participation in the movie

On March 12, 2010 the band's second album 2010 was released, which contains 10 old songs from the previous album and only 5 new songs. Two of these songs were released as single. The single Chaos was released on April 9, 2010 and Invulnerable on August 13, 2010.

In the soccer film Teufelskicker by Frauke Nahrgang's books and radio plays, the members each played a role. Henry played the title character Moritz while Marvin and Dario played the supporting roles Shadow and Alex respectively. The song Diabolisch from the album was used as the theme music .

2011: Theme music for a movie

The title song for the film Dandelion - The Cinema Adventure was the song Überflieger , which was also released as a single on May 6, 2011. Furthermore, the song Adrenalin from the first album was used in the film .

2012–2013: Third album Celebrate Your Life

In 2012 the songs Limit and Wir sehn sich am Meer were performed at concerts as a precursor for the upcoming album. The latter was released as a single in the summer of 2013, but in a version without Marvin's vocals. On September 13, 2013, a third forerunner Celebration Your Life was released as a single , where there is also no vocals from Marvin. In the same month on September 27, 2013, the album of the same name was released, Celebration Your Life . The album differs from the previous albums not only in the music style, but also in the voice of the singer Henry as well as the singing of Marvin, who sings only on one of 13 songs. Celebrate your life , the second single from their 2013 album, was chosen in September 2013 as the RTL2 “ Berlin - Day & Night ” campaign song.

2014: appearances and tour

In early 2014, the band made a guest appearance in the scripted reality series Cologne 50667 . As a result, the band played a concert in a club and could be seen with a performance of the song Celebration Your Life .

In February 2014 the band played on their “Celebration Your Life” tour in the cities of Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne.
