Pharmacy at the town hall (Alsfeld)
The pharmacy at the town hall in Alsfeld , a town in the Vogelsbergkreis in Hesse , was built in 1561. The half-timbered house at Markt 14 is a protected architectural monument .
description
The building is on the corner of Oberen Fulder Gasse. It has been used as a pharmacy since 1683. The two-storey timber-frame building on a stone floor rises in jettying with two further, likewise projecting, attics. It was built around 50 years after the city hall opposite . The time of construction of 1561 is inscribed above the gable-sided, pointed arch portal .
The barn adjoining the Upper Fulder Gasse belongs to the house and dates back to 1601.
