Zakopane Aquapark

The Aquapark Zakopane is an aquapark opened in 2006 in Zakopane at the foot of the Polish Tatras in the Podhale region in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship , the Powiat Tatrzański and the municipality of Zakopane. It is located a few hundred meters southeast of the city center not far from the main train station.

description

The Podhale region at the foot of the Tatras is rich in thermal springs. Here the occurrence of thermal springs is densest in Poland and one of the densest in Europe. The underground thermal waters extend from Podhale to Slovakia and Budapest in Hungary. However, the use of thermal springs in Poland only began at the beginning of the 21st century. However, unlike the many thermal baths that have emerged in Podhale in recent years, the Zakopane Aquapark does not currently use natural thermal water.

The aquapark has indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna area, water slides and a bowling alley. The aquapark is located directly on the Bystra mountain river .
