description

Main hall

The Podhale region at the foot of the Tatras is rich in thermal springs. Here the occurrence of thermal springs is densest in Poland and one of the densest in Europe. The underground thermal waters extend from Podhale to Slovakia and Budapest in Hungary. However, the use of thermal springs in Poland only began at the beginning of the 21st century. The Terma Bania is one of the many thermal baths that have emerged in Podhale in recent years.

The mineral-rich thermal water is extracted from a 2500 m² deep borehole. The thermal water produced is 72 ° C warm. The water temperature in the Terma Bania varies between 34 and 38 ° C, depending on the pool. It is used for medicinal purposes due to its mineral content (potasium, lime, silica, sulfur, magnesium and iron).

The thermal bath has a noisy and a quiet area with a total of seven pools, several water slides (each approx. 300 m long), water massages and six saunas. The thermal baths also include the luxury hotel Hotel Bania and the Bania ski area .
