Way of life
The caterpillars feed polyphagously on various deciduous trees and bushes, they are mainly found on oaks ( Quercus ), elms ( Ulmus ), linden ( Tilia ), hazel ( Corylus ), maples ( Acer ), ash trees ( Fraxinus ) and various fruit trees . The flight activity begins at dusk and can be observed above all on hedges.
