Arden is a small, scattered settlement in the Scottish Unitary Authority Argyll and Bute . It is located on the banks of Loch Lomond about five kilometers northwest of Alexandria and northeast of Helensburgh . Arden is the border town between the regions of Argyll and Bute and West Dunbartonshire . In the census data, Arden is not listed separately, so that no population can be given.
The A82 , which connects Glasgow to Inverness via Fort William , connects Arden to the trunk road network. In the village there is also the Auchendennan House castle from the 1860s, a monument of the highest Scottish monument category A.
