Aref Ali Nayed

Aref Ali Nayed ( Arabic عارف علي نايض, DMG ʿĀrif ʿAlī Nāyiḍ ; * 1962 in Benghazi , Libya ) is a scholar specializing in Islamic philosophy. He is the Libyan ambassador to the United Arab Emirates . He is the founder and president of Kalam Research & Media in the United Arab Emirates.

Life

He is a past professor at the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies , in Rome , past professor at the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) in Malaysia ; he is Senior Advisor to the Cambridge Interfaith Program at the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge , United Kingdom .

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter a common word between us and you ( Engl. A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (Engl. "Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... ") (October 13, 2007).

He is one of the Senior Fellows of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought (Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought).

He was a member of the Muslim delegation of the 2nd seminar of the Catholic-Muslim Forum .
