The Arena Alva ( Romansh for "white arena") was an independent regional newspaper in the canton of Graubünden in the area of ​​the lower Surselva . It belonged to the Südostschweiz media group (now Somedia ).

The newspaper appeared weekly on Friday and most recently had a WEMF- certified circulation of 3,748 copies sold or 3,763 copies distributed. For the communities of Flims and Trin , the Arena Alva was the official publication and local newspaper for Falera , Ilanz , Laax , Sagogn and Schluein . The editorial office was in Flims, the printing took place in Haag in the st. Gallic community of Sennwald . The newspaper appeared since 1982.

There was no connection between the newspaper Arena Alva and the tourism company «Weisse Arena AG» (Arena Alva SA).

Succession

On January 1, 2014, the Arena Alva merged with the Rhiiblatt . The new magazine is called Ruinaulta .
