Argjentina Ramosaj (born May 21, 1990 in Đakovica , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Kosovar pop singer and songwriter .

Life

Argjentina Ramosaj was born in the town of Gjakova , but is originally from Dečani . When she was about a year old, she emigrated with her family to Assen in the Netherlands . She successfully finished primary and secondary school there and is currently (May 2012) studying art and graphic design in 's-Hertogenbosch .

Surrounded by a musical family, she was always interested in singing and music. In February 2010, in collaboration with Flori Mumajesi - a producer and artist well known in the Albanian music scene - her debut single Shpirt i mbytur was released . The music video was shot in the Albanian capital Tirana with the help of the film production company Pro ... video . The song immediately became a huge hit and was played multiple times on many music channels and radio stations in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia . Only a few months later in August their second single, Scream, was released, which consisted of an English and an Albanian version ( Tip ). This time it was produced with Enis Presheva , the lyrics were written by Big Basta . The music video, which was shot in Amsterdam , collaborated with the Dutch production company Awesome Amsterdam Production . In October the song Jeta vazhdon was published in cooperation with the experienced Entermedia from Kosovo. The music video was shot on the Albanian Riviera in the coastal towns of Dhërmi and Jala and in the old town of Prizren . On this song, Argjentina worked again with Flori Mumajesi.

Also in October 2010 Argjentina took part in the Albanian music festival Kënga Magjike , one of the most famous festivals on the Albanian music scene. Her contribution Engjëjt qajnë was the fourth song of her career and was again developed together with Flori Mumajesi. She made it to the finals and won the Best new artist ( Magjia e parë ) award . Engjëjt qajnë was her biggest hit so far and was number 1 in the top lists of many radio stations for several weeks. Kënga Magjike thus helped Argjentina to her musical breakthrough.

In December 2010 she released the single Roll the dice in coproduction with the two Dutch DJs NouveauBeats and Vince Le Fin . Mitch Crown , one of the best producers and singers in the Netherlands, helped with the implementation of the song; the music video was shot in summer 2011.

Perfect in April 2011 was another big hit Argjentinas. With Enis Presheva as producer and Big Basta as songwriter, she worked with one of the best production companies in Kosovo, Pulla . At the Video Festi Muzikor 2011 , perfect was nominated four times and Argjentina won the award for best actress ( Best Female ).

After about a year of less activity, a new single called Si shiu was released in late March 2012 . The record label Threedots was the producer. After about one and a half months on the Internet video portal YouTube , the video received over 500,000 views on May 10, 2012.

At the end of May 2014 she recorded a new song after a two-year hiatus. For the first time with another Albanian artist. The song Déjà Vu in collaboration with the singer Gjira Kajtazi is part of the album Kajtazis which will be released in June 2014.
