Ariane Jeßulat

Ariane Jeßulat (* 1968 ) is a German music theorist and experimental musician.

Life

Ariane Jeßulat studied school music , Greek studies and music theory at the Berlin University of the Arts and at the Free University of Berlin . In 1999 she received her doctorate with a thesis on The Question as a Musical Topos . 2011 habilitation they are at the Humboldt University of Berlin with a thesis on the Ring of the Nibelung . Jeßulat taught music theory from 1996 at the HdK Berlin, at the musicological institute of the Humboldt University in Berlin (2000-04) and at the University of Music in Würzburg (2004-15). Since the 2015 summer semester, she has been teaching as a professor of music theory at the Berlin University of the Arts . Ariane Jeßulat is a member of the ensemble for experimental music and experimental music theater Die Maulwerker . She is the designated first vice-president of the Berlin University of the Arts and is expected to take up the post in autumn 2020.

Filmography

Ariane Jeßulat played the main role of the girl Anna in the television film As Hitler stole the pink rabbit in 1978 (autobiography by Judith Kerr ). It was filmed in 1978 by WDR for ARD under the direction of Ilse Hofmann - partly at original locations. It was first broadcast on December 25, 1978. Martin Benrath and Elisabeth Trissenaar played the parents, Ariane Jeßulat and Alexander Rosenberg played the children Anna and Max, and Miriam Spoerri played another role.
