Ariane Lavigne
Ariane Lavigne (born October 8, 1984 in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts ) is a Canadian snowboarder. She competed for Canada in the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Career
In the 2012/13 World Cup , she achieved her first podium in the Snowboard World Cup . On February 14, 2013, she finished third in the parallel giant slalom in Sochi, behind Austrian Marion Kreiner and German Amelie Kober . She was nominated by the Canadian Olympic Committee for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. In the parallel giant slalom, she took eighth place and was the worst Canadian behind Marianne Leeson and Caroline Calvé . In contrast, she was the best Canadian in parallel slalom with 17th place.
