Ariane T. Müller (born June 4, 1980 in Ulm ) is a German pianist , band leader and songwriter .

Müller is the daughter of a Berlin doctor and a Swabian teacher and is distantly related to the songwriter Reinhard Mey . She grew up in the Lehr district of Ulm . At the age of six she received piano lessons and at 13 guitar lessons. From the age of 14 she took part in various musical projects. For example, she played the Hammond organ in a blues rock band, bass guitar in a punk band and also tried her hand at being a songwriter. Müller completed a distance learning course in cultural and social sciences, but then decided to make music full-time.

Müller worked as musical director at the Stadttheater in Ulm , where she designed the musicals The Rocky Horror Show (2011) and Hair (2013) and founded the theater in der Bastion in Fort Unterer Kuhberg , where they hosted musicals and gala evenings and collaborated with the singer Henrik Wager . While working on the Rocky Horror Show , she met the singer Julia Gámez Martin , with whom she founded the duo Suchtpotenzial in 2013 . With this she has since toured with two programs, released two singles and two live albums and received several cabaret awards.

In November 2019 it was announced that Suchtpotenzial would be the winners of the German Cabaret Award 2020 in the category chanson / music / song.
