Julia Gámez Martin (born June 29, 1986 in Berlin ) is a German actress , singer and songwriter . The half- Spaniard (daughter of a Spaniard living in Málaga ) won the 2009 National Singing Competition in Berlin . Parallel to her career as a musical actress , she is part of the successful music-comedy duo Suchtpotenzial .

Career

Julia Gámez Martin gained her first stage experience at the age of seven as a member of the Berlin Concert Choir and sang her first solos in the Berlin Philharmonic .

During her school career, she took on leading roles in musicals at the Beethoven-Gymnasium and appeared in the choir and as a soloist.

After graduating from high school, she studied musicals from 2006 to 2010 at the University of the Arts (UdK) in Berlin.

Since graduating, she has made guest appearances at various theaters across Germany as an actress and singer.

In 2014 she began to write her own songs with her colleague Ariane Müller and since then the two have been on tour under the name Suchtpotenzial.

She is one of the recurring cast of CC: N - Comedy Central News, a satirical news program on Comedy Central Germany that has been running since 2017 .
