Aria Nabrings

Arie Nabrings (born June 28, 1952 in Dortmund ) is a German archivist and historian . He was the head of the LVR archive advice and training center until February 1, 2018.

Life

Nabrings studied history, philosophy and Protestant theology at the University of Münster . He finished his studies in 1981 with a doctorate and from 1983 to 1985 completed the archival preparatory service at the Marburg archive school . After completing his legal clerkship, he was first head of the Viersen city ​​archive , then head of the department for schools, culture and sport and, from 2003, head of the cultural department at the Rhineland Regional Council . From May 2007 to February 2018 he was the head of the Rhenish archive advice and training center in Brauweiler .
