Armando Crispino

Armando Crispino (born October 18, 1925 in Biella , † October 6, 2003 in Rome ) was an Italian screenwriter and film director .

Life

Crispino graduated in law , was one of the founders of the Cineclub in Turin and then worked as a film critic for L'Unità alongside his friend Raf Vallone . In 1950 he went to Rome and began to work occasionally as an assistant director and sometimes as a screenwriter; he cooperated with various important authors, especially with Antonio Pietrangeli . In 1966 he made his directorial debut with the comedy Le piacevoli notti , for which he was responsible with Luciano Licignani , and in the years that followed he made eight films in various genres, which were technically convincing and had a flair for audience appeal. Crispino also took occasional television jobs.

Crispino had been married since 1963 and had two children.
