The Armbruster Rocks are a group of exposed rocks off the Bakutis coast of Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . They loom on the west side of Wright Island and nine miles southwest of Cape Felt .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1959 and 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after Lieutenant Robert Bernard Armbruster (1924-2008), communications officer of the US Navy in Christchurch, New Zealand during the Operation Deep Freeze in 1963 and 1964.
