The Armlenet ( Norwegian for armrest ) is a 5 km long mountain ridge with north-south orientation in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises between the mountains Stabben and Jutulhogget and forms the eastern branch of the Mayr chain in Gjelsvikfjella .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named the ridge, carried out a mapping based on aerial photographs and surveys of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
