Arne Körner (born May 4, 1986 in Hamburg ) is a German film director , screenwriter and film producer .
Life
Arne Körner was born in Hamburg in 1986. From 2003 to 2006 he completed an apprenticeship as a baker, then from 2006 to 2008 an apprenticeship as a video and sound engineer. From 2009 to 2015 he studied film at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts and the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris . In 2016 he attended Werner Herzog's Rogue Film School .
Director and screenwriter
Körner's films have been shown at international festivals and have won several awards. The Bicycle is his first full-length feature film. The world premiere took place at the Montreal World Film Festival . The Bicycle was awarded the Prix du Jury in the Student Films section . The German premiere was celebrated at the 49th Hof International Film Festival. In 2017 his film The Individual Fighter won the Jury Prize in the Hamburg Competition at the Hamburg International Short Film Festival . Gasmann is Körner's second full-length feature film as a director, the world premiere took place at the Hofer Filmtage 2019.
In 2013, Körner founded the production company Against Reality Pictures together with Martin Prinoth and Akin Sipal . Since then he has been producing his films and the others himself. He had also produced his numerous short films himself.
