Arne Lygre

Arne Lygre (born February 6, 1968 in Bergen ) is a Norwegian playwright and novelist. He made his debut in 1998 with the play "Mamma og meg og menn" (Eng. "Mama and I and Men"). In 2004 his first book “Tid inne” was published, a collection of short stories for which he was awarded a Brageprisen by the Norwegian publishers' association. His plays have been translated into 13 languages ​​and shown on stages in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Switzerland and France. In German-speaking countries, his plays are represented by the Felix Bloch Erben publishing house in Berlin. Lygre was awarded the Heddaprisen in 2017 for the text La deg være .
