Arne Wendler (born March 2, 1999 in Chemnitz ) is a German basketball player .
career
Wendler comes from the youth work of BV Chemnitz 99 . In 2015 he left his home country for a year and played during the 2015/16 season as an exchange student for the team at Oregon High School in Oregon , Illinois . After his return from the United States, Wendler was accepted into the Chemnitz second division squad, and also played in the second men's team and in the youth. During the summer break of 2018, he joined the third division club Dresden Titans .
National team
In 2015 he took part in the European Championship in Lithuania with Germany's U16 national team, and one year later he wore the shirt of the U18 team at the European Championships in Slovakia . At the beginning of June 2018, Wendler was appointed to the U20 national team.
