Arnhild Holmlimo (born May 7, 1983 in Levanger , Norway ) is a former Norwegian handball player .

Career

Holmlimo initially played handball in Verdal, Varden and Stjørdals-Blink. Then she ran for Levanger HK . Here the backcourt player had a decisive role in Levanger's promotion to the Elite Series with 186 hits in the 2004/05 season. However, the right-hander then left the club in the direction of Bækkelagets SK , which was also promoted to the elite series. After two years at BSK, she moved to league rivals Nordstrand Håndball . After Holmlimo played two league games for Levanger in October 2010, she ended her career for the time being. In the spring of 2011 she made a short comeback with the German third division TV Grenzach. From January 2012 she ran again for Levanger. In September 2012 she joined Oppsal IF . She ended her career in the summer of 2013.

Holmlimo played three games for the Norwegian B national team. Holmlimo is also a member of the Norwegian national beach handball team. With this she won the beach handball world championship in 2010, won bronze at the beach handball world championship in 2012 and took third place in the beach handball European championship in 2007. In 2010 she took part in the European Police Championship in handball. With the Norwegian selection, Holmlimo won the European runner-up and was appointed to the All-Star team.
