Arno Gassmann

Arno Andreas Gassmann (born May 29, 1968 in Karlsruhe ; † July 16, 2019 ) was a German literary scholar , novelist and local politician.

Arno A. Gassmann studied literature, philosophy and sociology in Karlsruhe and Nottingham . In 2001 he was awarded a doctorate by Hansgeorg Schmidt-Bergmann on the "father-son conflict among the authors of the inner Prague circle ". phil. PhD. In the same year Gassmann went to the Kleist Museum in Frankfurt (Oder) as scientific director . From 2004 he lived in Neuenhagen near Berlin . He joined the party Die Linke and was a member of the district council of Märkisch-Oderland from 2009 . Since 2012 he has also been a member of the Bertolt Brecht Society in Buckow (Märkische Schweiz) , and in 2017 he was elected to the supervisory board of the Märkisch-Oderland district music school. Arno Gassmann died surprisingly in July 2019 at the age of 51. He left his wife behind.
