Arno Jansen

Arno Jansen (born February 13, 1938 in Aachen ) is a German photographer , artistic photographer and university lecturer .

Life

Jansen grew up in Düsseldorf and studied graphics there for six semesters, then moved to the Folkwang School in Essen to complete his studies with Otto Steinert . After graduating in 1964, Arno Jansen worked as a photo journalist for the city of Braunschweig, where he also had a teaching position at the art college .

In 1965 he was appointed to the Cologne Werkschulen as head of the art and photography department. From 1973 he was professor for artistic photography in the department of art and design at the University of Applied Sciences Cologne (FH) until the closure of the courses for fine art in 1993 (after the establishment of the Art Academy for Media ). Subsequently, until his retirement in 2003, he taught in the department of architecture / architectural photography at the TH .
