Arno Paduch

Arno Paduch (* 1965 in Hattersheim am Main ) is a German Zinkenist , conductor and musicologist .

Life

After graduating from the Burggymnasium in Friedberg (Hessen) , he first studied musicology in Frankfurt am Main and then zinc and historical performance practice at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis . During his studies in Basel in 1992 he was given a teaching position for zinc and ensemble music at the early music department of the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater in Leipzig, where he still works today. In 1995 he founded the Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble for 17th century music in Leipzig .

As a conductor and Zinkenist he has given concerts with the Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble in Germany, including at the Ansbacher Bachwoche , the Handel Festival in Halle / Saale, the MDR Music Summer , the Rheinisch-Westfälische Musikfest, the Leipzig Bach Festival , the Heinrich Schütz Music Festival in Bad Köstritz and Weißenfels, the Aschaffenburger Bach Days, as well as in the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria and Switzerland.

As one of the two directors, he played a key role in realizing the 43rd International Heinrich Schütz Festival in Hanover in 2011. In autumn 2014 he was appointed director of the Dalheimer Sommer festival in the former Dalheim monastery in Lichtenau / Westphalia, which he headed until summer 2018. In October 2015 he was elected to the Advisory Board and in November 2018 President of the International Heinrich Schütz Society.
