Arnold Fishkin
Arnold Fishkin , also Fishkind (born July 20, 1919 in Bayonne , New Jersey , † September 6, 1999 in Palm Desert , California ) was an American jazz bassist of cool jazz .
Arnold Fishkin first played with Bunny Berigan in 1937, Jack Teagarden and His Orchestra 1940-41, Les Brown 1941-42. He became known through his collaboration with the cool jazz pianist Lennie Tristano and his circle around 1947 to 1949. In the 1950s, Fishkin was mainly active as a studio musician, making recordings with Lee Konitz 1949–1951, Johnny Smith and others.
