Arnold Laasner (* June 14 . Jul / 27. June  1906 greg. In Tallinn , Governorate of Estonia ; † 29. January 1964 in Gloucester , England ) was an Estonian football - and basketball player Baltic German origin.

Life

In 1920, Arnold Laasner joined the SK Tallinna Sport at the age of 14 . At the club he played in his youth until 1925, probably in various sports. From 1925 he played in the men's team without interruption until 1943. In 1925 , 1929 , 1932 and 1933 he was each Estonian champion with SK Tallinna Sport. In the 1932 season he was also the top scorer with 13 goals in front of his teammate Friedrich Karm . In 1938 he and his team won the Estonian Cup at the first edition . In the Estonian championship he scored a total of 54 goals.

In 1927 he was runner-up in Estonia with the SK Tallinna Sport basketball team.

From 1930 to 1936 Arnold Laasner played for the Estonian national soccer team in 27 international matches and scored in two games. With the selection he took part in the Baltic Cup five times , and won the event in 1931 .

At the end of World War II , Laasner first came to Germany before emigrating to Great Britain. There he died at the age of 58 in Gloucester in south-west England.
