Arnold Stoltevoet

Arnold Stoltevoet († August 1419 ) was Bishop of Reval.

Arnold Stoltevoet, who probably came from Reval , studied in Prague , where he obtained his Baccalaureus artium in 1395.

As a diocesan priest , he was elected Bishop of Reval in 1418 . Shortly afterwards he began his journey to the Council of Constance . Assuring himself the support of the Grand Master on the way , Pope Martin V confirmed him in his office on April 18, 1418 and allowed him to join the Teutonic Order .

On the return journey to his diocese , Stoltevoet was accepted into the order at the Marienburg on July 17, 1418 by Grand Master Michael Küchmeister , who described him as a reliable partner to the Pope and consecrated as bishop.
