Arnoldo Ellerman
Arnoldo Ellerman (born January 12, 1893 in Buenos Aires , † November 21, 1969 ibid) was an Argentine chess composer and author.
Chess composition
Ellerman composed about 5,840 chess problems since 1910, mainly two-moves. He received around 600 tournament awards, including 115 first and 152 second prizes. In addition to Comins Mansfield , Alberto Mari and Michail Barulin, he made a significant contribution to the rebirth of the strategic two-move in the 1920-1930s. Since 1956 he was an international judge for chess composition and in 1959 he became honoris causa international master for chess composition .
Theorist and author
Ellerman is the author of several books and theoretical essays. He wrote about direct unleashes , a subject closely related to his name.
