The Arnsberg is 684.5 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Thuringian Forest immediately northeast of the city center of Steinbach-Hallenberg in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district in Thuringia . The Hallenburg is located on the western slope of the wooded mountain . To the southeast, the Arnsberg merges into Knüllfeld , and the summit of the Großer Hermannsberg rises 2.4 km to the east-southeast .
