Arosa is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .

Arosa belongs to the Guimarães district in the Braga district . The community had an area of ​​1.9 km² and 468 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Arosa and Castelões were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Arosa e Castelões .
