The Arroyo Espinas , also known as Arroyo de las Espinas , is a river located in southern Uruguay .
The left tributary of the Río de la Plata runs in the area of the Maldonado department . Its source is on Cerro Chico northeast of Cerros Azules . He touches the last-named place on his way in first western, then southern direction. It flows into the Río de la Plata between Solís to the west and Bella Vista to the east of the estuary .
