Arsen Schorajewitsch Galstjan ( Russian Арсен Жораевич Галстян , English spelling Arsen Galstyan ; born February 19, 1989 in Nerkin Karmiraghbjur , Tavush Province in the Armenian SSR ) is a Russian judoka . He competes in the super lightweight (class up to 60 kilograms).

Galstjan won his first national title at the Russian championships in the U17 age group in 2005. In March 2006, March 2007 and March 2008 he won the Russian championships in the U20 age group and in November 2007 took third place in his weight class in this championship. In October 2007 he was European U20 champion in Prague and in April 2009 European champion in Tbilisi . Galstjan won his first global championship title at the Junior World Championships in Bangkok in October 2008 , he also won other international tournaments or placed in the upper ranks. At the World Championships in Tokyo in October 2010, he finished third, as well as at the European Championships in Istanbul in April 2011. At the World Championships in Paris in August 2011, he finished seventh.

In 2012 Galstjan first took part in the Summer Olympics in London . Here he won the gold medal in his weight class with a victory over the Japanese Hiroaki Hiraoka with an Ippon after only 41 seconds, after he had already won in the semifinals against the Uzbek and reigning world champion Rishod Sobirov .
