Beslan Saudinowitsch Mudranow ( Russian Беслан Заудинович Мудранов ; born July 7, 1986 in Baksan ) is a Russian judoka . He is Olympic champion and three-time European champion in the super lightweight (up to 60 kg).

The 1.66 m tall Beslan Mudranow was the 2008 Russian champion. At the European Championships 2010 he lost in the semifinals to the Austrian Ludwig Paischer , in the battle for bronze he was defeated by the Dutch Jeroen Mooren . Also at the world championships five months later he reached the semifinals and lost to the Uzbek Rishod Sobirov , he lost the battle for bronze to the Japanese Hiroaki Hiraoka . In 2012 Mudranov won the final of the European Championships in Chelyabinsk against the Armenian Howhannes Dawtjan . Two years later he won the final of the European Championships in Montpellier against the Georgian Amiran Papinashvili . At the 2014 World Championships in Chelyabinsk , Mudranov also reached the final, but then lost to the Mongolian Ganbatyn Boldbaatar .

The 2015 European Judo Championships were held as part of the European Games in Baku . Mudranov won his third European title against the Azerbaijani Orxan Səfərov . The following year he won the semifinals of the 2016 Olympic tournament in Rio de Janeiro against Papinashvili, and in the final he defeated the Kazakh Jeldos Smetow after 44 seconds in the golden score.

After his Olympic victory, Mudranov took a break. He returned in 2018. At the European Championships in Tel Aviv he lost in the quarterfinals to the Ukrainian Artem Lesjuk , in the battle for bronze he won against Papinashvili.
