H-35 refers to a type of sailboat that was built between 1975 and 1986 at the Finnish shipyard Artekno . It belongs to the "H" family, which also includes the smaller types H-Boot and H-323 as well as the larger H-40 .
The letter "H" is an allusion to the first name of the designer, the Finn Hans Groop . The technical features of the H-35 include the rigging , which is small in relation to its size and the shallow draft of 1.50 m, as well as the standard self-tacking jib . Around 1982 the H-35 received a facelift in the form of a new deck shell, which gave the H-35 a more modern look and a larger cabin structure. However, comparatively few of these late H-35s were built.
A total of 280 H-35s were made.
The Swedish shipyard Utklippan Yachts has been building the H-40, also designed by Hans Groop, since 2011 , which can be seen as a further development of the H-35.
