When axillary artery ( axillary artery ) is the continuation of the subclavian artery in the armpit designated. It supplies the armpit, the muscles of the shoulder and chest, and the arm .

It begins at the outer edge of the first rib and ends at the lower edge of the teres major muscle . From there it continues on the upper arm as the artery of the arm , the brachial artery . It is divided into three parts by the pectoralis minor muscle . It is the central structure of the armpit , and (inner) on its medial side extends their Vein accompanying the axillary ( axillary vein ).

  • Arteria thoracica externa (external thoracic artery)
  • Arteria suprascapularis (upper shoulder blade artery, originates in predators from the arteria cervicalis superficialis )
  • Subscapular artery (subscapular artery), with:
    • Thoracodorsal artery
    • Circumflex artery caudal humerus
    • Radial collateral artery
  • Cranial circumflex artery
