Arthur Allers (born October 6, 1875 in Bergen , † June 28, 1961 there ) was a Norwegian sailor .

successes

Arthur Allers, who for the Bergen Seilforening sailed, was in 1920 in Antwerp at the Olympic Games in the 12-meter class after the International Rule of 1919 Olympic champion . He was a crew member of the Heira II , which participated as the only boat in its class. The Heira II was enough for lack of competition in two races each reaching the goal to win the gold medal. In addition to Martin Borthen , Kaspar Hassel , Egill Reimers and Christen Wiese , the crew also included the brothers Thor , Olaf and Erik Ørvig . Skipper of Heira II was Johan Friele .

Allers worked as a merchant in his native Bergen . In 1904 he took over the family business and in 1928 was appointed to the board of a Norwegian bank.
