Olaf Ørvig (born November 26, 1889 in Kragerø , † June 25, 1939 in Bergen ) was a Norwegian sailor .

Olaf Orvig that for the Bergen Seilforening sailed, was in 1920 in Antwerp at the Olympic Games in the 12-meter class after the International Rule of 1919 Olympic champion . He was the owner and crew member of the Heira II , which participated as the only boat in its class. The Heira II was enough for lack of competition in two races each reaching the goal to win the gold medal. In addition to Arthur Allers , Martin Borthen , Kaspar Hassel , Egill Reimers , Christen Wiese , the crew also included Ørvig's brothers Thor and Erik Ørvig . Skipper of Heira II was Johan Friele .

Ørvig was a manager at the insurance company Poseidon and became its office manager in Bergen . From 1914 he was the owner of a shipping company that bore his name.
