Arthur Ernesto Darboven

Arthur Ernesto Darboven , also Arthur E. Darboven (born January 30, 1964 in Hamburg ), is a German entrepreneur and co-owner of the coffee trading company JJ Darboven .

Live and act

After attending primary school in Hamburg, Arthur E. Darboven lived in El Salvador and attended the German School in San Salvador . He continued his education at a high school in the USA , a banking training at the Ibero-America Bank and at Boston College . Then he graduated from the European University ? in Geneva ( Switzerland ), which he completed with an MBA degree Magna cum laude .

He started his professional career as managing director and marketing manager of the Volcafe Group in Switzerland, later he moved to Burkhof Kaffee GmbH in Munich as managing partner . He then became the managing director of the family business in Hamburg. Since November 2004 he has been Honorary Consul of the Republic of El Salvador .

In 2008, Darboven left active business at J. J. Darboven and founded the import company Darboven Trading GmbH & Co. KG, which specializes in trading in tequila and rum and an agave-containing slimming product . According to its own presentation, the company orients itself on the principle of sustainability. On October 1, 2009, Darboven acquired a stake in the green coffee dealer Benecke Coffee GmbH & Co. KG in Hamburg.

Arthur Ernesto Darboven is married to Carolina Darboven and the couple have two children. He is the son of Albert Darboven and his first wife Inés Alicia, née de Sola (a Salvadoran woman).
