Arthur Feichter

Arthur Josef Feichter (born August 12, 1943 in Taisten ) is an Italian politician from South Tyrol .

Feichter is a farmer and has been involved in the South Tyrolean farmers' association since the 1960s . From 1987 to 1996 he acted as the country's chairman, then as vice chairman.

Feichter was vice-mayor from 1969 to 1980 and from 1980 to 1988 mayor of his home municipality Welsberg-Taisten . In 1988 he was able to win a mandate for the state parliament on the list of the South Tyrolean People's Party and thus at the same time for the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol , which he held until 2003.
