Arthur Harms

Arthur Harms (born February 21, 1915 in Bremerhaven - Leherheide , † January 29, 1983 in Bremerhaven) was a Bremen politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

education and profession

Harms completed a commercial apprenticeship and worked in this profession. From 1934 to 1940 he worked for the Reich Labor Service (RAD), where he had been head of administration from 1935. From 1940 to 1945 he served as a soldier in World War II . In 1946 he became an employee of the city administration of Bremerhaven and he was head of the wages and salaries office from 1953 and from 1961 to 1981 administrative director at the city administration and from 1953 to 1981 chairman of the board of the AOK Bremerhaven.

politics

Harms became a member of the NSDAP in 1937 . In 1948 he was denazified as not affected . After the war he became a member of the SPD. From 1955 to 1967 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for around 12 years and was active in various deputations of the citizenship.
