The Social Court Bremen is a court of social justice .

The social court (SG) has its seat in Bremen . The 419 km² judicial district covers the area of ​​the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen . More than 663,000 people live in it.

The Bremen Social Court is a court of first instance. The court of appeal is the State Social Court of Lower Saxony-Bremen , based in Celle . A branch of the regional social court is located in the same building as the social court in Bremen. The revision instance is the Federal Social Court .

Current affairs

At the end of 2005 the Social Court of Bremen got into the gossip by writing to a blogger who had headed a blog entry with "Social Court of Bremen". Argumentation: Since the page needs a certain amount of time to load, the visitor can be misled by the page title shown first and mistakenly assume that he is dealing with an official website of the Bremen Social Court.

The blogger scene, including the operators of some blogs, reacted largely negatively to the view of the court that the entry constitutes a violation of the naming rights according to § 12 BGB .
